Soy has been used in a variety of forms over recent years because it is natural and renewable. The same is true of soy wax. Soy Wax is manufactured for use in candle making. Using soy creates pure soy wax that is natural and biodegradable, manufactured meeting FDA standards, Kosher certified and not tested on animals. Soy wax candles contain no palm wax, petroleum, paraffin, beeswax, pesticides, herbicides, toxic materials or genetically modified material. This natural wax is also considered GRAS under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and supported by many different organizations, from manufacturers of candles to companies selling candle making supplies. Organizations include the National Candle Association, Personal Care Products Council, International Housewares Association, International Guild of Candle Artisans, and the United Soybean Board.
